Applying for a Grant
The REACH Healthcare Foundation invests in projects that offer solutions to the health care challenges faced by poor and medically underserved individuals in our six-county service area. Each year, the Foundation offers two opportunities to organizations to apply for a Focused Grant in the Foundation’s priority funding areas – oral health, mental health and safety net health services. During each Focused Grant cycle, there are three grant options available. Click on the links below to learn more:
Organizations may apply for multiple grants during each grant cycle; however, the Foundation will review those applications and assess the organization’s capacity to effectively administer multiple projects. In addition, throughout the year, organizations may apply for a Capacity Grant, CEO Discretionary Grant, or Advocacy Discretionary Grant. Organizations interested in these options must contact a program officer.

2010 Focused Grant Cycles
In 2010, the Foundation introduced a framework developed by the Board of Directors that further defines the Foundation’s funding interests and desired outcomes in our oral health, mental health and safety net health services priority areas. This framework, referred to as a "Road Map to Success," describes the Foundation’s long-term goal for its program activities, including grant making, and the outcomes we hope to achieve. Along with a long-term goal, the Road Map to Success also outlines intermediate outcomes for each funding area and provides a list of potential indicators that can be used by the Foundation and grantees to measure progress. Foundation staff will discuss this information at two pre-proposal meetings in August 2010. Click here for the dates and locations.
The Foundation also offers other technical assistance to organizations interested in applying for a grant, including free technical assistance workshops designed to help organizations prepare their Letter of Intent, the first step in the application process.
